It's been a while.... since i even view this blog!

I have done 2 very exciting things recently.

I never thought I would be doing it.

But I have done it.

Firstly, never did I ever thought that I will be taking my pre-wedding photos in paris!! We actually wanted to go to Japan at first! But because of the tsunami and the nuclear situation, and then one thing lead to another and before we know it, we have booked ourself a pre-wedding package to Paris! Thanks to my dearest honeydrew, I get to experience this once in a life time experience!! =D

Here are some shots taken by honeydrew when the photographer ask him to "tan hoi" hahahahaha so poor thing... he didn't take any single shots! All the photos are either both of us or just me! Cause the photographer say groom got nothing to shoot but the bride got a pretty gown! haha.... All these taken with my normal digital camera!

This is the 4th time that I am in Paris but I have never seen Paris this beautiful! I guess I am always still sleeping at that hour!

Both of us really enjoyed the photoshoot and we had a really great time!

I can't wait to see the photos from the photographer!!

The other very very exiting thing I did was that after soooooo many many many years of contemplation, I have finally decided to get my first chanel bag! And this is the 1st bag that I have bought for myself and also the most-est most expensive bag that I have own! All my other bags are bought by my dearest honeydrew!!

I call this once in a life time experience is because I don't think I will ever buy such an expensive bag anymore.... of course unless if someone wanna buy for me la! muahahahahahaha

yes it is a beauty! i love it very very much!

Even though it is so expensive, I don't really have to take care of it much cause the leather won't scratch! Unlike the LV bags where the patina leather cannot touch water la, hand cream la or it will stain / get dark very fast.... so need to jaga jaga one....

Plus, this chanel bag can be worn for formal or casual!

My only complain is that it is too small cause I am used to big bags where I can put lotsa stuff in it! But i'm still very happy with it!

The house where I will soon call it my home...

I am really excited to change this empty house into a home, our home ;) But I am so indecisive and blur at the same time!! Have been browsing soooo much ID websites lately....

The first thing that we are looking at is the kitchen layout. That's because we want to extend our kitchen and before we can start on the wet works, we need to know what our layout is so that the wet works contractors know where to put our windows, pipe for sinks, opening for hoods, electrical points for all the appliances! Once that is confirmed then they can start with the wet works and I will have to know what hood, hob, built in oven and refrigerator that I am getting cause the kitchen cabinet guys will need to ensure that the cabinets and table top can fit all these items perfectly!

I have went to more than 10 different kitchen cabinets companies to give me a rough quote and the price ranges from RM18 - 30k!! such a huge difference!! Then out of those I have asked about 6 to design for me but I feel that none of the designs are what I wanted!! :( Hence I have decided to design it myself!!!!! But I'm not sure if I have thought through thorough enough to say that my design is functional, ergonomical, and stylish enough for me! Haha! Even I cannot please myself, how would other designers be able to? That is why I said I am so indecisive and blur at the same time!!

Luckily we know that we want black glossy kitchen cabinets with white table top.... but should all our cabinets be black or should we mix in a bit of white?

I just want a kitchen that I would love to be in to cook and bake where everything is convenient and user friendly :D Is that so difficult?? haha

Besides the layout, I have also no idea what brand of hood, hob and oven to get! There are soooo many various brands and models!! Does it really matter?? Does it really make any difference?? Will my kitchen be oily and stuffy cause I choose the wrong hood? Will my cooking be not nice cause I choose the wrong hob and my cakes will not turn out nicely cause I choose the wrong oven?? Haiiihhhhh.... dunno la.... fahn sei.... haha!! But money is also the constraints la.... I definitely won't be able to afford the best brand even if I know which brand is that!! ahahaha

Another thing to fahn is I want my bridesmaids to be in a hot pink dress but then why is it sooooo difficult to find?? I always see it last time when I'm not looking... but now... can't find any nice ones!!! My sis said its not the colour this season!! BOOOOO!!!

Every weekend is just about doing stuff for wedding / house....
So many decisions to make
So much money need to be spent

I am glad to say that I have at least confirmed my venue, actual day and pre wedding photographer, bridal house, wedding favour and will be soon confirming wedding deco and hopefully make up artist and wedding cake vendor as well...

Here is my first make up trial ;) I kinda like it but both my mimi and HD said that my eyes are too dark!! My sis said my eyelash looks weird! Haha! The hairstyle is done by myself as I have not decided what hairstyle to do since my fitting will only be in July!

I am still looking for videographer, wedding card printer, wine supplier, and of course the most headache of all the guest list!! Oh and also bridesmaids dresses! My own dress also not confirmed yet! But I have bought my wedding shoes already! haha

We have also gotten keys for our new house =D Am so excited bout that.....
For the house we have done nothing so far!! Only gotten 2 quotations for kitchen cabinets and 1 quotation for renovation works! So so so so much more to do!!

Am also afraid that with so many decisions need to be made, there are bound to be differences in opinions which will lead to arguments / fights! So far no major arguments YET but somehow, I can see it happening sooner or later =P BOO!! =(

We both also decided to go for a pre marriage course highly recommended by 2 of my friends! It's a 6 sessions course and I really hope that we will gain from it.... but at the same time am afraid of all the differences that we'll found out about each other from the course! However, I still believe that talking bout it is better than not talk about it! That is why I am really keen to go for this course even though its organized by church but am assured that the course is not about christianity but communication between a couple! This will take up my weekends time as well!

I actually wanted to come here to add some new links to some of the blogs I wanna follow but thought that I would update my abandon blog! haha cause if I do read back this blog in the future, these are 2 important thing that have happened to me recently in 2011

Firstly, I just turned three zero!! OMG so old!!

But this year, my birthday was celebrated with all my family and friends =D I have not had a party for a long time and hence I throw myself a bday party! muahahahaha and because I do not want to think that I am leaving twenty something behind, I have choosen a cartoon theme BBQ party! I actually have games planned as well but my friends didn't wanna layan me.... but all in all i had a great time!! Although it was quite kelam kabut in the beginning I wasn't even ready when the first guest arrive!! end up I didn't even shower and just change only!! haha

This is supposed to be a group photo of everyone but half of the people were blocked!!
Also, half of my friends are not sporting at all!! They did not follow the theme!!! but of course some of them were really great in minnie mouse(s), mickey mouse, superman & superwoman, batman family, strawberry shortcake, popeye & olive and power puff girl

The second very important thing in my life is that..... I'm engaged!!!
This year will be our 6th years of being together and of that 6 years almost 4 years we were in a LDR. Finally we will be getting married next year!! It's a really huge step. I didn't think I will feel as ready as I am now. Before this, I couldn't imagine myself being married or want to get married. But somehow now, I do. Even though I am scared in taking this step, scared because of all our differences but at the same time I am also very excited and looking forward to live our life together as husband and wife...

This is proposal no.2 cause I complained that the 1st one was not romantic! MUAHAHAHAHA
I just love my honeydrew =D Sometimes he will do stupid things because of me =D

And this is my engagement ring =D
I love it very very much!! Though I wouldn't mind an even bigger carat!! (actually who would mind leh!!!) MUAHAHAHAHAHA I am so greedy!!! But I am really very satisfied with it =D It's one of the very very few things that he bought himself that I like =D Yes, I am evil and fussy like that!! That's why I always like to choose my own presents =P Hence I am really glad he have chosen something I like for this very significant "present"

So yes, now most of my time are spent on wedding related stuff!! So much to do but I love every bit of the planning!! Just don't like how much everything costs!! Wedding business is a really good business to be in!! All the quotations I've gotten really gave me a shock!! Everything are marked up super high and still people are willing to pay for it because.... it's once in a lifetime ma....... the super overused phrase in anything related to wedding!! sigh.....

Oh, and besides all these wedding, I have a sudden urge to take up a part time baking class!! The only reason I am not doing it now is because I wanna lose weight and how to lose weight if you keep baking 3 times a week? (That is the frequency of the baking class) Maybe I will only do it when I have my own kitchen =D

Really really have the urge to bake something....... maybe I should.... hhhmmm....

I would say that I am not a risk taker and i'm actually scared of risk. I tend to choose the lower risk option.

I know people always say calculate ur risk n hence only take calculated risk! But how do u calculate the unpredictable?

But I do believe in if u don't try, u will never know! This statement is true but what if its risky, then will u still try?

So should I try??? Taking the 1st step is always the most difficult!

I've got 2 presentations to about 60-80 ppl 2mrw! Was too busy at work lately that I didn't have time to really think bout it to panic. I only just completed my slides today and now that i'm practising for it, I suddenly felt a bit panicky!! Haha

Hope everything turn out well and I don't embarrass myself la!

Also, lately I've been feeling quite stress at work because of so many last minute things to do! Especially when you r unable to speed things up because d work before I can do my work is done by someone else! So tension!! I hope I will be able to get it done in time!!

Oh I just realized I can't upload photos here using my bb. Thought of sharing my new love at first sight photo! But I already have got black! Why doesn't it come in white??

Ok la nitez! Wish me luck for 2mrw =)

Yummy looking desserts

Its one of the latest trend in Japan where they deco their gadgets with sweet yummy looking desserts!! It's called decotti. Here are some yummilicious decos I found from dolce deco's website!!

SO,

I decided to turn my garmin into some yummeh dessert!! =D

This is my garmin previously!! I simply did it cause I needed to use it the next day I got my garmin and I didn't have much blings with me so these were all the random left over. I just come out with this design with whatever I have cause I didn't wanna use an ugly looking black garmin the next day.... =P I know my design is kinda ugly too but still nicer than boring black la....

Anyway,

I started looking for cabochons desserts to deco my garmin and found this online website from Singapore called Sophie & Toffee and ordered away!!

My orders arrived after more than a week! A bit slow but what to do I dunno where to buy these stuff in KL!! But I think now there are a few online shops that sells those cabochons but of course the choices are not as great as sophie & toffee and I have yet to find one that sells the whipped cream!

The instructions look easy but then it's quite difficult to squeeze the whipped cream out!!

These are all the cabochons that I've ordered. Some are nice, some are way to big I don't know what to do with it and some are not as nice as I've expected but all in all still quite happy!! At least now I know what to buy next time!

I actually gotten all these stuff more than a month ago but only got around to doing it this weekend =D

My sweet yummy garmin dessert!!!!!!!

It only took me 5 minutes to plan (but many hours to research and see what others have done to get an idea of what I wanna do la and also you tube to see how people did it.) One tip is that use blue tack to plan and stick on it as if the blue tack is the whipped cream. After deciding what I wanna do, it just took me bout 5 minutes to practice piping the whipped cream on some papers and then 15 minutes for me to assemble the whole thing! So this is not very time consuming unlike when I spent bout 5-6 hours to decoden my blackberry aka Pinky Blingberry

I'm quite happy with the outcome.... but now I don't know how to keep it cause the casing that I have can't fit anymore!!! =((((( Need to find a new casing..... and these whipped cream.... although its air dried I dunno how can I protect it cause I think it will kinda melt if its in contact with water.... but then again my garmin also cannot be in contact with water la (its electronics ma!!) but I am still a decotti noob and don't know what I should do..... And I think my piping skills is kinda bad cause my whipped cream is like blobs of cream and not nicely piped.... so I still need to master that.... and also cause its reaaaally difficult to squeeze it out!! I don't know if its too dry or what!!

Am in a bad mood today
Just get mang zhang very fast!

Is it because I've been really really busy and a bit stress at work? Seriously so many projects going on at the same time and some needs lotsa work done but is given to me very last minute.

Or is it because of lack of sleep! If u see that I have updated my e-shop with new arrivals that means I am spending a lot of time on taking photos, editing, uploading and posting. Also need to see what others are selling to survey survey so sleep very late every night! That's why coffee is my new best friend. But sometimes so busy at work I only remember to drink it in the afternoon!

Or perhaps its my period coming soon? Blaming it on the hormones!

Or is it I am feeling angry at myself for keep gaining weight and increasing waistline? I don't wanna be fat again!! Although I'm kinda am now!! But I don't wanna go back to what I was last time but somehow I can see myself heading that direction! Does coffee make u fat????

Good thing HD called me and cheered me up a little. He even gave me his FB password so that I can.... Haha

Top 10 thing to do in Paris

I know Paris was last year!! But I kinda just sorted out all my holiday pics cause was uploading it on FB.... I actually wanted to do this long time ago.... but didn't get around doing it..... so here is my list of top 10 things to do in Paris after my 2 weeks stay in Paris end of last year =)

1) Visit the Eiffel Tower

This is a must in Paris *duh!!* It represents Paris!! Need I say more?

2) Visit Louvre Museum

If you know me, you know that I am not the kind of person to go to the Museum but this is one museum you have to go to just because of......

MONA LISA

I actually didn't go into the museum this time round cause this is my 3rd time in Paris and I have went in once during my first visit back in 1st year uni!! The Louvre is also made even more popular by the Da Vinci Code book/movie.

3) Visit Notre Dame Cathedral

Remember the movie The Hunchback of Notre Dame? The lead role of the movie is that ugly and hunch back bell ringer in Notre Dame. And because of this story (which was written years before the movie) they started restoring this cathedral!

4) Go see the Arc de Triomphe

One of the greatest arches in history! It is actually located at the end of Champs Elysees. You can also go up to the observatory at the top of the arc but I didn't do it this time too cause I've done it once.

The Arc de Triomphe is engraved with names of generals who commanded French troops during Napoleon's regime

5) Walk down Champs Elysees

While you are at Arc de Triomphe, you must walk down Champs Elysees which is the most prestigious and most famous street in Paris and possibly in the whole world!! This street is where the cinemas, theaters, cafes and luxury shops are!

I walked up and down Champs Elysees almost everyday when I was there cause we stayed 10 minutes away from it but I did not take many photos of the street and those few that I took were blur!!

6) Buy a Louis Vuitton

When you think of Paris, you will think of LV!! Or at least I do =P It is really worth it =) 15-30% cheaper than the KL boutiques after tax rebate and depending on exchange rate!! Which is great because the LV prices will only go up and there's never sale or discounts!! Sound like a good investment eh?? haha Plus won't go out of fashion and can use for many years or even generations!! Get a versatile one and you can use it for everywhere!!

7) Enjoy Laduree Macarons

How can I not put in this as one of the Top 10 things to do when my sis said that if you don't eat the Laduree Macarons in Paris, its as if you did not go to Paris!! Laduree is the most famous tea house in Paris for macarons. The other one is Pierre Herme!

In Gossip Girls, Chuck Bass made every girl envious by flying to Paris to buy Blair her favourite Laduree Macarons!! So Lo-man-tik but only rich ah joe like him can do such things la!! haha I used to like Chuck but at the end of season 2 he has done so many despicable things that I can't declare my love for him.... so I can only secretly love him =(

Anyway, back to Laduree, it's also situated in Champs Elysees further down from LV

8) Have French Food

French cuisine is widely held to be the best, most refined food in the world!! So it is a must to try as many of the renown french food **SLURP SLURP**

For appetizers the more popular ones are French onion soup, escargots and foie gras terrine with toast

For mains, besides beef which can be either steaks, stew or roast, another popular savoury dish is duck confit.

9) You must have PAN FRIED foie gras

Pan fried foie gras is the best!!!!! It's not easy to find especially in the more reasonably priced restaurants/cafe in Paris!! Yes, I searched high and low for it!! They usually have the terrine or pate foie gras but not the pan fried one.... Of course all the posh and expensive restaurants will have la... but we can't afford those especially the Michelin Star restaurants!!

But when you find it and eat it, it is the best thing that you have ever put in your mouth =D
Was so happy I finally found my pan fried foie gras on the last day!! It was soooo good that I ordered another plate!! =D Even the waiter was shocked! haha

10) Try French Pastries

Besides macarons and all those desserts mentioned above, you must not miss out on a visit to the local bakeries!! One of the most popular french pastries is mille feuilles which was really good - one of my fav among all french patries (the other one is croissant - simple and yet delicious esp with fresh cream!! YUMZ). Other french pastries you should try are eclairs, fruit tarts and mousse au chocolate

Ello Ello..... I know I have been MIA-ing for a very long time!! keke!! Nothing happened just that I am sometimes busy and sometimes too lazy!

Here's an updated post of my latest and current obsession =D

You know, Jap food is always one of my favourite cuisine if not the most favourite....
I only started to like sashimi when I was in Uni (can't believe I didn't love it earlier!!)

But then for many years (yes I have graduated many years since after uni!!) I only like to eat salmon sashimi!

Here's the few jap places I frequently go for my jap cravings

and Sushi Zanmai when I'm broke but still wanna eat jap cause its like the most value for money jap restaurant and the food is really not bad..... but yesterday I went to Sushi Tei @ Tropicana City Mall for my sashimi dose and they have about the same menu at the same price!

Anyway when I was in London few months back, my sis brought us to Sake No Hana, one of the top table restaurants in London (they were having promotions then if you make reservation via toptable.com 40% off total bill!! Lucky us!!), we ordered a sashimi platter and I had a piece of that fatty tuna sashimi..... and it changed my life!! HAHA It was like seriously damn good and since then, I am unable to forget that taste.....

And so, after that when I am back, I started trying other type of sashimis and now I am totally absolutely obssessed with all types of sashimis!!!!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!

Nowadays I eat jap at least once or twice a week cause I really crave for it!! Crave until like keep thinking of it one....... Seriously I wish that I am damn super rich then I can eat like assorted sashimi everyday cause its mostly bout RM70 to more than RM100 per plate depending where you go..... Then I can be slim too cause sashimi is not fattening right?? haha

The most economical "mini" assorted sashimi I can find is @ sushi zanmai and sushi tei =D
I think its like RM22 something and you get salmon, tuna and yellow tail (3 pc each! but smaller and thinner slice la)

Actually writing this makes me wanna eat sashimi already!!! I just had yesterday and sunday!! And I am going this coming saturday! Val is tempting me to go Umai-ya buffet with her!!

You know what? Now I reaaaaaaaaaaaally wanna go Japan to try the real deal!!!!!! =P

This first week that I'm back has been crazy!!

I've got a jet lag and I can't sleep till late and of course couldn't wake up!!

The first two nights I only slept at around 3-4am and then on the third day I was soooo tired that I almost fell asleep while driving home! Then I slept from like 7-8.30pm and my mum woke me up for dinner and after that I slept again at 10.30pm and woke up at around 4am and couldn't sleep again till like 6am and then its time for me to get out of bed and again I felt sleepy and tired!!

As a result, I was late for work everyday!! =( It's really bad!! I think I have to do something before my boss can't stand it anymore!! =((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((

And I also banged my car!! =((((((((((((((((((((((( sighhhhhhhhhhh long story..... already so broke from all the spending and now need to repair the front bumper of my car =(((((((( sigh........

I only managed to go to the gym once and I seriously desperately wanna lose weight la!!!! I've got a non-existing waist!! =((((((((((((((((((((((((

Anyway, I had a great time tonight at my company's 10th year anniversary dinner =D

The theme of the night is glamour and glitter and the colour code is blue and silver!

I've got nothing blue but thanks to my e-shop I've got a blue dress to go in =D Then I just glam it up with all the glittery silver diamante accessories =D Click *here* if you are interested in the dress..... lotsa colours to choose from and its only RM29 eh!! (haha opportunity for advert ma) I actually want the teal one for myself but then because of this dinner I'll take the blue =D

Oh and guess what? I IS 5 YEARS in sunway dy!!! Can you believe it? I cant!! gosh!!!!!! time really flies man..... cause I've got 5 years long service award during the dinner!! No pictures of me with the award cause the useless wanie only took one pic and its super blur!! GGGRRRR.... Will probably get from the PR next week! Anyway I've got a cert and a gold pendant!! I wonder how much it cost kaka

Anyway, the highlight of the night is definitely when the dunno what singer came and she got this guy (one of the staff) to go on stage and dance with her.... then she sang this stupid song that every time she pinch him he have to make a sound but seriously it was so funny everyone couldn't stop laughing!!

Oh and our CEO and Clinical Directorate cum MAB President was asked to go on stage to joget! That was quite fun too as they were both very sporting

Then she get some of the staff to go on stage and wear some wig and play the guitar and rock with the music too....

Had a great time and I also won a lucky draw.... RM20 jusco voucher!! haha I think I won the same thing last year!!

Hoping for a better week next week!! =D

The new year marks the end of my 23 days break

I hope I have done everything I wanted to do,

Eat everything I wanted to eat in London (I even tapau-ed four season duck for my lunch tomorrow before I go to the airport =D)

I can't possibly buy everything I wanted to buy though! (Btw, I went to touch my dream bag channel 2.55 and its 1,800pounds, so that remains as a dream!!)

I've got so much to blog about for Paris and London but I don't know if I can find time....

Cause now its no more bumming around! It's back to reality..... back to routine..... back to work.....

We didn't go for the countdown at London eye.... Had home cooked dinner by Chef Shan and then watched Love Actually on TV and the fireworks on TV too..... Oh and I had Ben & Jerry by the heater! =D

No new year resolution cause I don't think I followed the one I made last year!! So I won't waste time making one this year =P

But I really wanna lose weight!! haha

Don't know when I'll be back but I will definitely be back!

I had a really great time and a really good break! I'm glad I decided to do this! =) At first I was a bit regret cause I think I overspend on holidays for 2009 but then its all worth it =)

I'm in London! Arrived without any delay although it was a bit chaos at the Gare Du Nord Train Station!! Loooong queues at 6am in the morning and kiasu people cutting queues!!

People with tickets for trains on the 23rd and 24th dec are all to board the train on 24th and its on a first come first serve basis. They fill up one train and you will have to wait for the next! That's why people are so kiasu cause everyone wanna leave Paris back to London!!

Between the 4 of us, we have got 3 huge luggage, 3 cabin size luggage, 2 hand carry, 3 laptop bags, 2 backpacks and 4 hand bags. Both my sis carried 5 bags, Me 4 bags and my mum 3 bags! Its really like going to war and fighting to get boarded! haha

Anyway, am looking forward to glorious food in London and our christmas dinner tomorrow!! Oh and then boxing day sales!! Woohoooooooo........

Strasbourg, France

Went to Strasbourg last weekend =D It was super freaking freezing icy cold!!!!!!
According to weather.com it is -12deg and feels like -18deg!!!! I have never experience such coldness before!! So glad I bought the ear mufflers =D My ear was warm and fuzzy but my hands and feet was freezing cold!! I actually wanted a light pink furry one but they don't have pink! =(

Welcome to Strasbourg! It wasn't snowing when we were there but I think it snowed the day before and hence with that temperature, the snow remains!

Strasbourg is the capital of Christmas. According to my sis's french colleague, every year between end of November to December alone, there are 22million visitors in Strasbourg! I am not surprised because every where we go, there are a lot of people!! The worse was when we were looking for a restaurant to have lunch!! We wanted to go to Chez Yvonne recommended by the guide book and when we reached there around 12.30 the restaurant was full and they didn't even allowed us to wait!! We went to another restaurant recommended by the guide and again its full house and we were not allowed to wait without a reservation. So we just go to any restaurants near by and all the restaurants were full!! Its only 12.30 eh!!!!! Finally we walked and found this restaurant which is also full house but at least they allowed us to wait and we waited for a good 45 minutes for a table!!! Fuuuuyoooohhh!!!!!

You won't feel more christmassy than in Strasbourg!! All the shops put in a lot of effort in christmas decorations and the whole street is also decorated with christmas lights and all!!

Finally FOOD!!! I had steak =D

Mimi had sauerkraut with sausages and meat slices. Although it's a german dish, but Strasbourg is supposedly famous for sauerkraut as well because its close to the german border! My sis said there is a bridge where you can actually walk over to Germany! Hello Yun Yun! Haha =P

The food was so so only but dessert was not bad la. Anyway its not the recommended restaurants that we wanted to go!! But at least we still managed to find ourselves a table la!

After lunch we walked around the streets towards its prestigious cathedral and the old town.

Christmas Market outside the cathedral. The first Christmas Market since 1570!! Now Strasbourg has a total of 12 Christmas Market at various locations in the city. We didn't walk the Christmas Market cause we were saving it for after dark when all the lights are on =D

After that we moved on to La Petite France, a pretty and enchanting neighbourhood in Strasbourg with its black and white timber framed buildings!! Its like out of a fairy tale book! It is arguably one of the best neighbourhoods in France!

Since it is soooo freezing cold, we decided to warm ourselves in this restaurant that serves tartes flambees which is also a renowned dish in Strasbourg. It's actually something like pizza but the crust is super thin crust! Much much thinner than Domino's thin crust!! haha

Shan bought mulled wine for us.

Mulled wine is a traditional drink during winter especially around christmas! It is actually red wine combined with spices and is served warm. Feels sooo good drinking it on a freezing night!!

Me with churros! Its something like doughnut but in sticks form. A fried dough pastry based snack! You can eat it with sugar or nutella chocolate sauce! Yumz! (But fattening!)

After that we went to the train station for our train back to Paris! No prize for guessing, yes the train was delayed again!! =(

Brussels, Belgium

Went to Brussels for a day trip with Mimi. Its only an hour train ride from Paris. But since I bought the France Rail Pass, I decided to stop at Lille which is still in France but even closer to Brussels and take the Eurostar from Lille to Brussels. Cause by doing this, I only need to pay 3 euros for my reservation from Paris to Lille (since I have the rail pass) and 26euros for my Eurostar from Lille to Brussels. So my return ticket is only 58euros. If I take the train directly from Paris to Brussels, it will cost me around 100-120 euros return.... muahahahah so glad I bought the rail pass!!

Since its a day trip, I don't know how much I can cover and I'm really lousy with maps!! The garmin is not really helpful when you are walking and not driving!! Plus, I'm travelling with my mimi! When we arrived Brussels it started snowing lightly.... like now you see some snow falling now you don't kind....

Then after that, we went to the Grand Place which is right behind the Bourse. The Grand Place is arguably one of the most magnificent squares in the world! It is surrounded by historical buildings all astonishing on its own!

If you face the Brussels Town Hall, you will see the Guild Houses on you right.

The moving clockwise, you will see The House of the King (Maison du Roi) but no Kings have ever lived there!

Then next is The House of the Duke of Brabant, an elegant old building.

The town hall's gothic tower is an icon of Brussels and can be seen from around the city (due to its height!)

There is pretty nothing much to do at the square except gazing in awe at the parametric view. After we are done with pictures, we walked towards the Galleries Royales St. Hubert which is an exclusive shopping mall near the Grand Place.

After that we decided to have lunch and went to Rue des Bouchers to look for this restaurant recommended by my sis and also quite a few websites. Its actually in this street full of restaurants! Many guidebooks actually advise not to go to this street if you want real Belgium food cause those restaurants are mainly visited by tourists! BUT, except for Aux Armes de Bruxelles!! This restaurant is almost 90 years old and serves Belgium cooking that combines traditional cuisine with great quality.

How can you go to Brussels and not eat mussels. A bucket of fresh mussels complete with moules frites. The mussels soup is extremely delicious! Mimi love it to bits!

Believe it or not this is the best creme caramel that I've eaten!! Even much much better than the Ipoh one!! This one is really creamy, thick and smooth!! Yumz to the max!!

Then when we came out from the restaurant, this was what greeted us. The snow got heavier and the whole city has turned white!

After that, we went to see Manneken Pis, Brussels' favourite character - a small bronze statue of a boy urinating!

Belgium waffle is a must when you visit Brussels! Lotsa varieties to choose from ;)

But I think the waffle was just ok only. Its a bit hard, not sure if its because of the weather! Cause both my sis who went before said that the waffles were really good!! Or perhaps I just went to the wrong shop!! But then I read that all the waffles stalls are just as good!

After that we took the metro to see the Atomium, the symbol of Brussels like how Eiffel Tower is to Paris. When we came out of the metro, the view was absolutely breathtaking!! Perhaps there are less people here compared to the city and hence the snow was really quite thick!!

Our last stop is the Saints Michael and Gudule Cathedral. This cathedral actually toke some 300 years to build!!

After that we went back to Grand Place for some souvenir and belgium chocolates shopping!! =D

I missed the Paris one cause I was in Brussels =)
The last time I saw snow was in Japan in year 2000!!
Although its freaking cold but was really excited to see it snow!!

Lyon, France

Went to Lyon last weekend and guess what? I missed the train for the first time in my life!!!!!!!
We reached the train station quite late and I've got about 7mins before the train departs and I still need to get my France Rail Pass validated. Was queuing for bout 3 minutes and finally it was my turn! I asked the guy at the counter which terminal my train will be departing and he said "Geee" which sounds like "G" to me and hence I was running to terminal G. My sis saw me running to G and she ran to G as well.... At that time we boarded the train to find that the train was actually empty..... So we knew that we were at the wrong terminal!!! There's another 2-3 minutes before the train departs and we don't know which station to go to!! Then my sis asked someone and he pointed us to terminal "D" but we weren't sure if it was the right terminal... We saw one lady in the train company uniform and we asked her..... she kept making an "X" with her arms indicating that we can't board the train anymore..... but I pointed the clock behind her and there's 1 minute before the train departs.... then she stop doing the stupid "X" sign and smile.... We asked if we can board the train and she smile again *ARGGGG STUPID WOMAN SMILE WHAT SMILE!!!!* Then I said don't care bout her la just board la.... and when I wanna open the train door the train started moving........ all of us stand there watched the train moves away.......
Sigh........ and this is the story of how I missed my train!!

So we went back to the ticket counter to see if we can board the next train.... my sis have to pay extra for her and my bro's ticket though..... and when the guy at the counter told her to go to terminal "G" we started scolding him (cause its the same guy who told me its G) You told us G but its at D, now you tell us G again!!!!! You made us miss the train!! But he insisted that he told me "D" instead of "G" but I swear I heard G!! But the next train is at "G" and not "D".....

Anyway...... let's talk bout Lyon (pronounced as "Le-on" and not "Loin"). Lyon is only 2 hours train ride from Paris. It is France second city (after Paris!) and is renown as the French capital of gastronomy as it also one of the city with the largest number of michelin star restaurant!! But of course we didn't go to any!! =(

Lyon is also designated UNESCO World Heritage Sites for their traboules (narrow passage ways that pass through buildings and link the streets either side. The traboules were originally used as short cuts to transport products but during the World War II, it is used to run away and hide from the Nazis!

Being known for its gastronomy, we were quite excited cause according to my sis's french colleagues, all the restaurants in Lyon are nice! We googled for one that serves foie gras, escargots and frogs leg and decided on this restaurant!

However, to our disappointment, they serve none of the 3 food mentioned above!!

After that we took the train back to Paris..... A supposedly 2 hour train ride became 3.5 hours!! They did make some announcements in French but we don't know what is happening..... We even thought that we have board the wrong train!! Cause we should have arrived in 2 hours!! Luckily the lady at the seat next to mine can speak english and she explained that there has been an accident and the train have to detour!

OK! gotta go sleep now! Going to Brussels tomorrow =D

It is super freaking cold!!!!! BBBbbbrrrrrr........
And I've got communication problem here!!!!!
Everything is in french..... signboards and even announcements on the trains....
You don't know what is going on and no one bothers to explain it in english
Or should I say most people do not speak english!!

Went to Lyon last weekend and I missed the train for the first time in my life!!!!!!!
We were like 1 minute late!! Seriously 1 minute!!!!!!!

Went to the train station today to buy tickets for Brussels on Thursday and I dropped my wallet at the counter!!!! Luckily the lady after me called me to let me know..... Am superbly grateful for that!! Must be more careful!!!!!!!!!!! =( I am always clumsy like that.... But yeay!! Brussels here I come.... But I haven't done any research on it yet!!

Am looking for french restaurant in Paris with good french food!! Anyone knows any? I want foie gras, escargots, onion soup... etc We have been going to touristy restaurants with english on their menus and we want some real authentic ones! I wish I can speak french! haha =P

Am also looking for christmassy dinner recipe cause Mimi is gonna roast turkey on christmas day when we are back in London and shan is inviting her friends over for chirstmas dinner.... So I have to help mimi come out with a menu..... So excited bout this!

I thought I will be quite free these few days but seems like I've got lots to do...... but will still try to catch up on my blog =D I've ignored my poor blog for a loooong time...... Will post up pictures of Paris when I can find my sis's camera cable cause I forgotten to bring mine!!

Stupid Tax!!

I took one day leave to settle some tax issue....
received letter from them to say that I owe them tax because of the previous year bonus that was received the next year since 2004....
Thought it will take me the whole day and thought that I can actually get some refunds back....
End up it only took me one and a half hour which is 1 hour 15 minute waiting for my turn and 15 minutes talking to the personnel and end up I still have to pay whatever they said I owe them.....

Conclusion is, wasted my one day leave..... which could be use for something more worthwhile.....

cause after a long chat with my mimi and thinking bout it, I have decided I AM GOING TO PARIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yippie YEAY!! That is also considering the tickets won't be over the top oh my god kind of expensive.... cause I know tickets are usually more expensive in December!!

My First!!

Yes Yes, I'm joining a marathon!!
My first time =)

I know I'm not doing a full or half or even a quarter marathon but only the fun run but its still 10km ok!! Don't pray pray!! I haven't really been exercising since I quit the gym like 2 years ago and I hope this will motivate me to at least exercise and train up for the run!

I will definitely come back with the completion cert ok!! *fingers crossed!*

UPDATED: YES!!! I made it!!! I completed 10km in 1 hour and 15 minutes (I think the average time is 1 hour and 30 minutes so am quite please) Honeydrew completed his 10 minutes later =D We might join the half marathon next year!! ;)

My Hanoi Experience

I call it an experience because this little city is really quite different from what I was expecting!!

You can blame it on lack of research haha cause I went with my sis ma.... so I just rely on her to do all the research!! kaka Luckily our hotel have internet =D Plus she have a blackberry and with google map, it wasn't that difficult to find the places we wanted to go!

Firstly, I didn't know that Hanoi has got 2 seasons!! Something like HK la... Summer and Winter.... and the best time to go Hanoi is end of the year like Oct - Feb cause it is freaking hot when I was there!! Seriously hot until sweaty and sticky kind one.....

Woke up at 3.30am to catch the 6am flight!! Stupid Air Asia only got one flight per day to Hanoi and at that ungodly hour!! We got the hotel to come pick us up at the airport and when we reached the hotel, they told us that they have upgraded us! =D We really couldn't figure out why!! So we were quite scared to accept but then we still did *kaka* We booked the Golden Sun Hotel 3 but they upgraded us to 4. Golden Sun Hotel 4 is really nice for the price that you are paying!! Its not posh but its new and have a pc with internet in the room, plus the bathroom is spacious! Definitely worth every single cent especially we are paying the price of 3 and we got 4! Just that its further away from the old quarter but still at a walkable distance.

Anyway after we checked in, we laze around the room and thought that we will go for Pho (Beef Noodles) for lunch! So we left the hotel before noon and when we reached the Pho Bat Dan: 49 Bat Dan, Old Quarter, Hanoi IT WAS CLOSE!!!! What shop closes so early one!! Its lunch time eh!! Then we went to two other Pho Shop that we found from the internet and both were closed too!! =((((( So disappointed la. So we were just walking around and we found ourselves at Cha Ca Street! So we started looking for Cha Ca La Vong: #14 Cha Ca, Old Quarter instead!

The only bit of research I did before Hanoi is on Vietnamese food =D I read that it is "The one place that everyone I asked said do not leave Hanoi without trying. More than a hundred years old and serving only one dish, this place is somewhat of a legend in the Hanoi food scene. It’s even snagged a coveted spot in Patricia Schultz’s 1,000 Places to See Before Your Die."
With a comment like that, how can I not try it?

This is the legendary dish!

At first it doesn't look anything special and we don't even know how to eat it.... so we just look around to see what others are doing and when you mix everything including the gravy from the fish and that sauce in the bowl (the one with some chili in it one) the taste is reaaaally amazing one!! I don't know how to describe it because I've not tried something that taste like this!! haha It's savoury and a bit sourish but not too sour, just a bit. Plus the fish is really fresh and it’s supposed to be some good quality fish la (dunno what fish forgot the name)

After our lunch, we walked towards the Hoan Kiem Lake near the old quarter. The whole city is full of motorbikes!! My Halong Bay tour guide said that there are about 2 millions motorbikes (mostly scooters) in Hanoi!! And they horn like nobody's business!!

We actually went back to our hotel after less than 15 minutes at the lake!! Why?? Because mimi needs a nap!! muahahahaha She said that she woke up very early and its too hot!! So we went back to the hotel for a nap!! Can you believe it?? Go Hanoi to sleep!! tsk tsk tsk.... But then it was really hot la and we have been walking around a lot looking for 3 pho shops!!

We left the hotel again at about 4pm to go to the lake again =) Hoan Kiem Lake has the famous red bridge connecting to the Jade Mountain Temple. There’s even a couple taking wedding photos on the red bridge!! But so hot still dress in wedding gown?? Across the bridge, there is a small tower, built to honor the lake's golden tortoise of legend.

Then after that we walked around the old quarter looking for the much rave about Vietnamese Coffee. But before that, I got con while waiting for my sis to go to the atm! Before I know what’s happening, the lady passed me the scale thingy (the thing i’m holding la! - don't know what is it called) and then she just put her hat on my head!! Then mimi got excited and ask me to pose for photo then after that the lady ask me to buy pineapples!! So smart!! How to say no when you already took the photo??

Cafe Nhan: 39D Hang Hanh - Recommended by Beeloon. The coffee was nice nevertheless but I was expecting a local coffee shop instead of a tourist cafe!!

Walking around Old Quarter. They have 36 streets and each street sells different things but every shop on that street sells the same thing!! haha Like this street sells shoes, then the whole street sell shoes! They have clothes, children toys, kitchen utensils, etc etc.... Surprisingly I didn't shop much!! Firstly cause of the weather you are so sticky and sweaty you don't feel like you wanna shop or try on clothes and secondly, it’s unlike bangkok, I feel their clothes and shoes are not so updated in trends! Or perhaps I didn't go to the right place cause I read somewhere that it’s very near China so shopping should be good too!!

Then we went for banh cuon (soft rice rolls) for snacks! Its actually like minced pork / chicken wrapped in super thin and smooth chee cheong fun!! haha But you also dip in some kind of sauce and its superrrrrrrrrrr yummy!! Seriously!! Its so good that I went back on our last day in Hanoi!! =P

One thing I don't understand bout Vietnam people is why do they have to sit on such a low chair to eat?? Why are their tables like kindergarden table for kids?? Why can't they use nice comfortable adult size chair and table?? Not like their ceiling is very low or what also!! Why do they like to feel like you are squatting when you eat?? But luckily food was good so it was worth the squat!! =P

Then after that we went for French and Vietnamese fusion food. Also to celebrate mimi's bday!! French food in Vietnam is supposedly to be famous too because the country was once colonized by the French! We went to the highly recommended Green Tangerine: #48 Hang Be, Old Quarter, Hanoi which offers modern french food with a vietnamese twist!

The restaurant is in a cosy little old colonial house. Food was really good and also wayyy cheaper than in KL!! I lovey french food!! But too bad they didn't have foie gras in the menu!

Super small cheesecake for dessert. Its more like a mousse than a cake! And I'm not a fan of mousse! So I didn't find it that great!

After dinner, we walked around the old quarter (got so many street ma, and don't think we even cover half of it!!)

Next day, we decided to go for pho again! Earlier this time, we reached at around 10.30am and guessed what?? IT WAS CLOSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GGGRRRRR.... what kinda shop closes at 10.30am one!!!!!!!!!!! =((((( All the way go to hanoi and didn't get to eat pho??

So we decided to go to the one nearby.... which was quite crowded.... probably because the famous one was closed and this was the nearest beef noodles store around!

We ordered both the beef and the chicken to try.... It was quite good!! Just that I didn’t like all the spring onions and smelly vege in it!! haha I think it would have tasted much more nicer without it!! =P

A bowl of delicious pho plus the "yau char kuay". Its different from those you find here cause the yau char kuay there is really hard and you need to soaked it in the hot beef noodle soup for it to soften and then its really yummy cause it absorbs the soup and is really tasty!! =D

Drinking sua dau nanh which is tau fu far plus soya bean drink! but the tau fu far is really smooth... but somehow I think the ipoh one is still better =P

Then after that we went to have che - a vietnamese dessert. It has mung beans (which I lovey), red beans, jelly, cendol and etc and then shaved ice... something like our ice kacang but the mung beans is smashed and makes the drink thicker and yummier!! A fantastic drink for hot weather!!

Then after that we took a cab to Chua Tran Quoc at Ho Tay, the West Lake of Hanoi. It’s the more posh area in Hanoi. Chua Tran Quoc is one of the oldest pagoda in Hanoi. And guess what? We reached there about 12 noon and it only opens at 2pm!! What's with Hanoi ar?? Sight seeing supposed to open early they open late, beef noodles supposed to be open til late but they close early!! So while waiting for it to open we just walked around the area and I did a bit of shopping =D The only shopping I did in Hanoi!!

You know I don't like museum right? hehe but I was more than happy to go into this one cause.......... it is air conditioned!! muahahahaha The first floor is actually photos of Ho Chi Minh and the events or things he has done for Vietnam. Second floor is more like a modern art gallery of the history of Hanoi. Quite interesting I must say.... but..... I'm still not a museum person =P

We didn’t go to the place where Ho Chi Minh body was kept cause it closes at a ridiculous time!! Around 9am or 10am if I am not mistaken! Anyway its closed when we were there! So we didn't get to see the one pillar pagoda!! =( Anyway after that, we went to Van Mieu, the Temple of Literature. Its supposed to be the place where the royalties studied last time. Like a university for them.

After that, we went for dinner at chicken street!! No prize for guessing what we had!! Haha chicken la of course!! Its grilled chicken.... bbq chicken wings, chicken drumstick and even chicken feet!! And seems like the chicken feet is the most popular one among the locals!

Do you know what I love best among all? Its the bread!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its seriously OMG kinda yummy!! At first I didn't wanna order the bread cause its those french loaf that I see people selling at the road side and I am not a bread person! but then I thought just try la.... and its seriously damn good!!! We ended up ordering 3 loaf and I ate like one and a half!! It's that good!! They actually flattened the bread and grilled it with honey and don't know what else! Its a bit like croissant coated with honey but crispier! Super yumz!! And I was talking bout the bread the whole night!!

Again it was worth the squat!!

After that, we went back to the old quarter area. Decided to go to Highlands Cafe for Vietnamese coffee and also get mimi a birthday cake! Highlands Cafe is like their local starbucks.... They have a branches everywhere in Vietnam.

Have been sooooo lazy lately.....
not updating my e-shop
and not updating my blog
and not doing a lot of things

I don't know why, but I just feel that I don't have enough time!!
sighhhh....
Why is there so much things to do....
Why am I always distracted to do other things than what I should be doing
Actually, what should I be doing in the first place?

People my age are either getting married, having baby, furthering their studies, building relationships, learning new things like sign languages!!! ( I really got a friend learning that ok!! going for classes somemore!!) or at least doing something purposeful or meaningful in life but what about me??

But I don't wanna be doing that!! Don't get me wrong, I do wanna do something purposeful and meaningful but just not those mentioned above!! (At least not at this moment) I don't know what I want to be doing..... However, I do know I want to go for holiday!! haha

Seems like the only way to get away from my life here or to break away from routine is to go for a holiday! Mimi is tempting me with europe again end of the year!! I know I have just went in May this year but but but its just too tempting to resist..... Plus the thought of being left behind alone is just too sad!! =P Then sis is tempting me with shopping in USA and Barcelona!!Ahhhhh..... how can anyone resist shopping!! Honeydrew is tempting me with constantly asking where to go for the next oversea trip and with lotsa tempting suggestions that get me all excited.... I is temping myself with Japan!! =P I wish I could do all these..... Only problem besides taking leave from work is, can someone teach me how to print money? HAHA

Sometimes it makes me think if I should spend so much on travelling!! I can't find the balance and almost always cant say no to any opportunity to hop into a holiday! You know the saying that "life is short and you should enjoy it", or "what's the point of earning money and not spending it".... you know.... the balance on splurge and spend, spending on what you need instead of splurging on what you want..... sigh..... I sound like someone in a mid life crisis who is confuse and indecisive!! Do I need another holiday? But I am feeling a bit depressed not knowing when my next holiday is!! Its as if I've got nothing to look forward to.....

Apa lar!! sometimes I wonder if I think too much or is everyone just like this? Sigh.... what is life?? What do you want in life?

Recently I've been thinking a lot about another thing which is a very big part in everyone's life and that is relationship!! So much have happened to relationships of people around me, or people around the people around me!! haha but that is altogether another post for another day!! Life is complicated enough without relationships and its even more complicated with it!

OK, back to my life.....

Hello from the city of non-stop horning

I'm in Hanoi =D
and I'm in a culture shock!! haha =P

People here horn all the time when they are driving.
Seriously its a really noisy city!!
You can hear cars, motorbikes, buses, vans horn here horn there horn horn everywhere!!

Back in KL, you only get horned when you did quite a serious offence that irritates the other drivers, but here, people just horn for all reasons or no reasons!! Whether its to tell people to move away or to tell people i'm coming (as a warning) or maybe some horn just for the fun!! You don't even know who's horning who!! But you definitely will hear non-stop horning when you are on the streets!!

At first I get a shocked everytime I hear a horn (as in are they horning at me? what did I do??) Then after a while, I start to get irritated cause seriously there is no peace!! haha And then now I guess I have to just ignore all the hornings!!

Another thing is that Pho Bo (beef noodles) shops closes veryyyyyy early!! like 11.30am!! (That's not even lunch time yet!!) Apparently Pho Bo are eaten for breakfast instead of lunch!! So I haven't tried any beef noodles yet!! Cause all the recommended ones were closed when we were there for lunch!! We went to 3 different ones ok!! And its superrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr hot walking around in Hanoi!! I think I've gotten a shade darker already!! =(

However, the food here are amazing =) So far so good!! Looking forward to more =D

Oh and my hotel room has got free internet and even comes with a pc!! =D So yeay!! Its really convenient eh!! Don't even need to bring your own laptop!! =D

Bangkok Girly Weekend Getaway

PEACE!!

I'm back from my Bangkok trip!! Actually am back 2 weeks ago!! haha If you noticed, I've uploaded some stuff over at my e-shop ;) Oversea goodies!! =D Go check it out yah!!

It was a super tiring trip but I really had a greaaaaat time!! Over the weekend this was our itinerary:

Wake up - brunch - shop til you can't walk - massage - dinner - chill - back to hotel - parade your shopping buys - sleep

This is what you call life man!! haha Oh and you know what?? I did something I've not done before!! =P I actually took leave when I didn't have to! As in my flight was on a Friday night and I purposely book the last flight so that I can rush to the airport after work then I can save one day leave but I ended up taking leave on Friday just to chill - sleep til late - have lunch with my mimi - slowly pack my stuff - shower - then head to airport BUT!!!! stupid flight was delayed!!! GGRRR.... but won't let it spoil my holiday =D

Because of the delay we reached Bangkok quite late and since HF & Viv flew to Bangkok a day earlier (these 2 buggers don't need to work one!! *ish* one is a new housewife and the other is a full time student again! *jealous* =P Anyway.... they bought supper for us!! =D So much food that we only ate half of it and the other half goes to waste!! 2 packet of pad thai, 2 types of kerabu (the glass noodle and mango kerabu), 2 packets of mango sticky rice, 2 packet of fried prawn cakes, plus some yau char koay!! YUMZ!!

So next day we woke up and off to Platinum Mall we go!! Super shopping haven!!

My lunch at Platinum Food Court - sucks big time!! This is the only bad thai food I have ever eaten in Thailand!! haha Its super duper salty like salt water!!

This coconut ice blended is super yummy!! Ordered one after my 4.5 hours of non-stop shopping!! Walk until I couldn't walk anymore..... Plus I'm in my caged wedges!!

But I must say, the stuff in Bangkok are not as cheap as when I was there 2 years ago!! 2 years ago I bought quite a lot of shoes and its only like 200 Baht per pair but now.... the nice decent ones are all like 590 Baht!! So I didn't buy a single pair!! Also cause I've got not much time la.... cause was looking for stuff for my e-shop too ;) You know 4.5 hours of non-stop shopping I could only cover like 3 Floors and that's also I didn't go to every shop in each floor!!

My feet ache so much I just sat by the stairs while waiting for Viv & Dawn to go to the toilet!!

Then off we go to massage!! Due to lack of time, all our massages were at the same place which is one of the massage place at the end of the road from our hotel!! Even massages are not that cheap compared to two years ago... but cheaper than in KL la.....

After that, we just go to the nearby 7-11 to make a call for our buggy!!

I would have hated our hotel if its not for the buggy service they provide!! Didn't know it was sooooo deep inside from the main road!! HF found it from the website and from the map, it looks like it is quite close to the BTS Station but luckily the buggy will fetch us to the main road and its just a few steps to the BTS Station!

Oh and did I mention that the hotel doesn't even have a lift?? =0
And we stayed at the 4th floor!! Seriously from the website it looks nice!! And its not like its very cheap also eh!! 1700 Baht for a double room without breakfast!! I think for Bangkok standard we could have gotten a much better hotel lor!!

Anyway after massage we gotta rush back to get ready for dinner =) Dinner was at Coffee Beans by Dao - yummy thai food with the most amazing cakes!! HF worked in Bangkok for like 2-3 yrs so when I visited Bangkok 2 years ago she first brought me to Coffee Beans by Dao and I just fell in love with the place!! A definitely must visit if you go to Bangkok ;)

Super delicious cakes.... its something like Alexis where they have a wide selection of cakes when you enter the restaurant but their selection is like 3 times more than alexis!! Their cake menu is like 2 pages long man!! Highly recommend the white chocolate cheesecake - just heavenly!!

After that we went to Fallabella - Monkey Bar. Its supposed to be a Hi-So place haha I just learned this word!! Hi-So stands for...... High Society!! *duh* haha According to dawn's thai friend, apparently you need to look rich to be able to enter the club (I dunno how true is that) haha!!

After bunch off we go for shopping again!!! After bout 2 hours or so, I was getting quite bored at MBK and decided to go back to Platinum!! HAHA So off we go back to platinum again!! But we only had like 2 hours left to shop before we have to leave for massage and dinner!! But even if I had more time I seriously couldn't walk anymore!! Took a cab back to the massage place near our hotel again and this time I had a full body one hour aromatherapy massage! After that we took the buggy back to the hotel to get ready for dinner!! The dinner that we were all excited about!!

Dinner at Sirocco - The Dome at the State Tower. The world's highest open air restaurant!! Where you can see the view of the whole Bangkok City!! Went there 2 years ago too but only had drinks at the bar.... so we thought we should have dinner there this time!! HF made reservations for us and do you know?? On the reservation confirmation email, they actually state that cancellation less than 48 hours, USD100 will be charged to your credit card!! huh!! Got restaurants like this one meh!! I really so not Hi-So lor!! Apparently according to HF if you want to have dinner here on new year's eve or Christmas eve, you have to book one year in advance!! T_T

Only me & Dawn had appetizers and we ordered foie gras as we both loooooove foie gras to bits..... but sad to say, it was so-so only lor!! =( We both have had better (and at a cheaper price too!!) Stupid foie gras was like 1350 Baht!! (RM135) Seriously it doesn't taste that great lor.... lack the creamy buttery feel when you bite into it and then it just melts in your mouth with flavour..... That's basically why I heart foie gras and this one couldn't deliver that!! So we were both quite disappointed with it!!

My main!! Veal Medalion. This is not bad. Quite good actually. But I wanted it medium and it turned out quite well done.... but still very tender nevertheless. The sides and the gravy goes really well with the veal! YUMZ!

And the damage?? 20,938 Baht!! That's bout RM2,100 for the 5 of us!!
Honestly I feel that the food ain't that great but the view is just amazing!! So just go to the bar instead!! haha But it's definitely an experience and I must say that it's very romantic to dine there for couples!! Plus their service are excellent!! They better be for the service charge that we paid!! haha

After dinner it was already close to 12 and we decided to go for late night massage - our last massage before leaving Bangkok the next day!! Good thing was the massage place near our hotel was still open so all of us went to do an hour of foot massage =D

Next day, we had brunch near our hotel before going off to the airport. As usual we called the buggy to pick us back to the hotel and the buggy guy actually said "No shopping today??" All of us were like Nooooooooooo =( We are leaving today!!

This is one of my fav noodles in Thailand!! I'm so glad I managed to have not one but two bowls (opps!!) for brunch before we left to the airport!! One bowl with mama noodles and another bowl with glass noodles. Every time I will ask them to put all the "liao" so that I can try the various kind of "liao"..... But the best one I had was in Phuket!! haha Super YUMZ!!

After brunch, off we go to the airport and back to reality....

Oh and you know what?? I think its a jinx that every time I step foot in anywhere in Thailand, I will leave the place without a single Baht!! Happened 3 times in Bangkok, twice in Phuket and once in Hatyai. I seriously thought I will have some left over Baht with me this time considering I did change quite a lot for a weekend!! But end up Baht-less too!!

Next, I can't wait for my Hanoi Holiday with my sis and mimi in 2 weeks time!! =D

Don't know why but I just feel like getting away from life here.... so I will grab any escape that I can!!

He's supposed to be back in Oct!! I was sooo looking forward to Oct but now.... sigh......
The last time I saw him was May in London and come Nov, it will be 6 months since we last saw each other!! LDR sucks BIG BIG time =((((((((((((((((

Should I just quit my job?

WOW!!! It's been more than a month since I last blogged!! OPPSSSsss....

I've been reaaaaally busy lately.... have been trying to make up for the loooong hiatus of my e-shop during the time I was in Europe for my holiday and then even after when I was back I was still on a hiatus cause I'm just too lazy!! As a result my hits dropped and that's why I have been updating my e-shop sooo frequently for the whole of June!! And in July I've even joined 2 bazaars!! and one more this Sunday!! and currently I am having sales cause I'm trying to sell off as much as I can to make room for more stocks when I go to Bangkok next week!! =D So do check it out cause its really cheap!! =P I actually still have got quite some stocks that's not uploaded yet!! Cause I don't have time to take photos!! I can only do that on weekends and it takes like at least 4 hours for a few items!! I really have got not much time left every day.... I need more time in a day!!! Should I just quit my job and concentrate on my biz?? hehe this idea have been really toying in my head much more frequently lately!! Do you know it has been a year since I first started this whole e-shop thing..... I never thought I would last till now....... so should I just do it?? Like open a boutique?? HHHmmmm..... I should probably seriously think bout this.... But I feel that its such a huge risk and I'm not sure if I can manage or worse if it doesn't work out then what do I do?? Sigh.... why am I so not a risk taker?? and as usual.... I am soooo indecisive!!!

Anyway so much have happened recently!! Some things that I'm happy bout and some that I'm upset about.... and I haven't even blogged anything bout my Europe holiday that I've promised.... haha now I don't know if I will anymore..... I just don't have the time!! *or so I claimed!!* =P

I really feel that I want a break!! Especially a break from my work..... I'm starting to lose focus due to some things that happened and at times like this I just feel that I wanna channel my energy some where else. I don't feel like I wanna fight the battle anymore......

When I'm not working, most of my time are spend either out with my friends or family or I'll be at home doing something related to my e-shop.... I am seriously looking forward to my Bangkok trip next Friday =) I just wanna chill and forget bout all my worries....... and on a non-related note...... you know what?? I was talking to val the other day and realised that I haven't baked the whole of this year!! =( I used to baked quite frequently and enjoyed it very much!!

OK time to sleep.... gotta wake up early tomorrow!! Sighhhh I hate to wake up early on weekends!!!!

I'm so happy that words just can't describe!! Haha You know those kind of achievement happiness that makes you feel proud of yourself kind?? haha Told you it can't be describe!!

I know I know I will probably jinx it and something will make me unhappy tomorrow but I just feel like making myself feel proud of myself la.... =P once in a while k!!

Know why I'm so happy?? haha In the beginning of the year, I was assigned a project. My project is also to get the 7 other departments in my division to start the project in their department too... So I have to create the awareness and coach the team leaders of each department individually plus lead and guide them in the project. (Not like I am so expert in it but in front of them I have to pretend that I am la!!) I must admit it wasn't easy at first as getting everyone to co-operate is quite difficult but I have to try ways to influence them! Finally everyone is running the project on their own and I organized a mini convention to celebrate the success of the project and also have a knowledge sharing session where all the departments actually share their experience in running the project with each other! The convention is actually my boss's idea but I organized the whole thing myself and coach the departments on their presentations and motivate them!! The convention is today and I would say it went pretty smooth and towards the end of the convention, my boss surprise me with a token of appreciation and praise my work in front of everyone!! Made me feel soooooooooooo happy and proud at the same time!! Eh its not easy to get praises from my boss one ok!! Her expectations are quite high!! So this made me really happy!! YES like smiling like an idiot kinda happy when she said all the things she said and bought me this pretty pink flowers as a token of appreciation and get our COO to present it to me!! =DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD It was really a pleasant surprise =)

Then right after the convention, I rushed off to Pyramid for the KSS Sunway Carnival Pool & Snooker Competition. Remember I took part in it last year as well and my team got 2nd place?? Today, it was realllly a close fight!! Each team consist of 5 men snooker singles and 2 women pool singles. Your team needs to win 5 sets to win the round! For the quarter finals I won a set and the men won 3 sets so we managed to go into the finals and our opponent is last year's champion!! The two of us women won for pool (hehe I won all the games!! Don't even need to play the rubber set!! =P) BUT!!!!! the guys lost three sets!! So we were thinking our chances are really slim!! Actually we weren't confident in winning because our opponent's snooker team is really strong!! They even have one player that was ranked in don't know the malaysia or asia snooker ranking!! However our snooker team managed to win one game so the last game was really exciting and we finally won!!!!!!!!!!!! We are the champions!!!!!!!!!!! yeay!!!!!!!!!!!! I am sooooo happy cause I loveyyyyyyyy the trophy this time round!! haha Last year's was just a medal but this year's one is really nice and I was hoping we could win so that I can bring that home!! haha Was jumping in joy when we really won!!

Anyway, good thing was we did had our "celebration" in Prague (2 weeks before our anniversary date!)

Honeydrew researched and found this restaurant. Its supposedly famous for its duck and apple strudel.... food was not bad but the restaurant was quite empty!! But that doesn't matter la.... just imagine that he "pao" the whole restaurant for me la.... MUAHAHAHAHA *dream!* But if he really do that I will definitely scold him teruk teruk lor!! waste money!! =P

On a non related note, does it make you happy when someone calls you back after you slam down the phone?Haha you must be wondering why would you slam down the phone!! Don't tell me it never happened before?? I don't know.... Sometimes, I just have the urge to slam down the phone when I am having a heated conversation.... (not all the time la only some times!!) or probably I simply just wanna throw tantrum or I just want to win the argument.... Slamming down the phone not because I have got nothing to say...... but probably also because I want to have the final say..... Or it may not be slamming down the phone but just ending a conversation feeling unhappy.... like saying an angry Bye and hang up kind....

I always expect the person at the other end to call me back.... and it just makes me really happy / relief whenever the other person calls back!!

It makes me even happier when the person calls back when I am not expecting that they will call back at all!!!!! =D So yes, you made me happy today..... although I didn't slam down the phone this time =P But I thought you thought I did!! HAHA

Thanks to those who had dinner with me for the past few days too!! Tuesday I had dinner with my dad, Wednesday with Val, Thursday with GY, Friday with Elisa & Thomas. Then aunty joined us later and we played gin too!! We haven't been playing together for such a looooong time!! According to elisa its almost a year!! Miss the good old days!! Tonight will be dinner with aunty, chirstine and bb ethan!! *happy i don't have to eat alone!!* I really hate eating alone!! =( And one thing I've yet to do is watch movie in the cinema alone!! I rather don't watch or buy the dvd to watch at home!! But GY and YL said that they have watched movies alone many many times and don't mind!! *huh*

Anyway, I've been trying to sort out my europe photos whenever I'm free.... Still have not completed everything yet. I've just finished sorting out amsterdam's photos and will blog bout it very soon..... I've got flu, I hope its not Swine!

Was alright yesterday but this morning I was a bit sneezy and ended up with a bit of a blocked nose. Went to office and saw lotsa lotsa warning emails bout Swine Flu. Then I sneezed in the office and my colleague asked me to better visit the Staff Health doctor. And I got one day MC cause doctor was scared that I carry any swine virus with me! He even said I should be isolated!! =S Good thing was I didn't have any fever, if I do, I was told to go to the A&E immediately!

So I've got a day to laze around at home. I feel fine, but at the same time am scared that I really do have Swine virus in me as I did came back from UK, Germany and Netherlands and they are all classified as Swine infected areas! I also don't wanna be accused of the person who brought Swine to Malaysia!! So better just stay at home today!! =P

Besides that, getting an MC today is sort of a good thing cause I've actually got jet lag =(((((((((( *Though I feel quite pai seh cause I just only came back to work!!* Couldn't sleep yesterday night!! =(((((((((((( Went to bed bout 12.30am and couldn't sleep til 4am and when I finally dozed off, its time to wake up for work!!!! =(((((((((((

Oh and guess what I did today?? I just booked myself a trip to Bangkok!! =D It's gonna be my 3rd time in Bangkok but I'm looking forward to it!! That will be my next holiday!! so yeay!! But it's only in August!! Will be going with my uni mates =) Kinda like a girly trip before HF's wedding..... At the same time stock up some nice and cheap stuff for my e-shop which is currently on a hiatus now =P

Life is much sweeter when you have holidays to look forward to =)

Oh and after all the yummilicious extravagant food I had during my holiday, this is what I had for dinner today....

Hello waking up early, work, work and work...

Today, I left honeydrew, mimi and shan to come home.

Some how I feel that I don't wanna be the one leaving and wish that I was the one left behind!

Contrary to my previous post!

Coming home alone on a 12 hour plane ride, reminds me of the times when I was still studying in Bristol. Being able to come home during holidays is one of the things I really look forward to.

But this time, I left with a heavy heart.... I don't remember feeling like this even when I left UK for good after studying there for 3 years!

Some how, this time it felt much more difficult!

So i guess, its not the place that I miss but the people around me that I had for the past 16 days I'll be mimi-less for 2 weeks, honeydrew-less for 5 looooong months!

Some how, this holiday doesn't make me feel tired or burn out as some of the other holidays does! (Or maybe its due to jetlag). Though in the begining it was a bit hectic but still not too bad but towards the end of the holiday the pace slow down. The carefree feeling of just relaxing and enjoying as the time passes by and not having to wake up early during holiday is very important! I also didn't even research anything for the trip. Everything seems to be taken care of! HAHA Thanks to yun yun for planning the enjoyable amsterdam and blackforest trip, honeydrew for the wonderful prague trip and shan for planning where to bring me for good food in london!

Anyway, I've got lotsa lotsa photos to share and I need some time to sort it out....

I wish I have stayed longer in London cause I didn't have enough time to shop!! =( *my mimi blame it on me for not wanting to wake up early!! and I blame it on honeydrew for wanting to do some sight seeing!!*

The time when I had more time to shop was in Prague but their price tags also have the price of the item in euros and pounds!! So when I did some simple calculation it seems that buying the same item in euros and pounds is much cheaper than in czech koruna. So I decided to shop in London instead since they have the same brands!

With the pounds exchange rate much lower compared to the time when I went to visit 5 years ago, shopping in London is much more affordable! =P

However, sadly I only manage to buy stuff from H&M as I didn't have much time to go to the other shops!! I think I bought more stuff for cindy's unborn baby boy than myself!! The baby stuff are so cute!!

I wish I had planned out more ~~shopping~~ time in London =P

Oh and guess what I had when I went back to London from Prague!! *haha*

I just wrote on my blog that I missed jap food and ended up coincidentally this is what I had for dinner!! I think its a little miracle!!

DIM SUM @ XIN CUISINE RESTAURANT, CONCORDE HOTEL

We usually go for dim sum @ Imbi Palace, but we went to Xin the other day and I think it is one of the best dim sum place in KL!! Their dim sums really got quality one lor....

Btw, unlike most chinese restaurants in hotels, Xin is non-halal so you can have real pork dim sum there!! =)

THE ELEPHANT @ HAPPY MANSION

Oh and another Thai place that I wanna introduce is The Elephant!! Its jointly opened by four guys and a few of them are thai!! Their food are quite good and price is quite reasonable as well!! They are famous for their YUM MA MA Salad! Apparently according to Val, they used to sell the yum ma ma together with some other thai food at the Mt Kiara food bazaar on Thursday nights before they started this restaurant

PASTA ZANMAI @ ONE UTAMA

After blogging about chuka zanmai (apparently its close down already) and also its sister restaurant, which is one of the best place to have cheap but good jap food - Sushi Zanmai, its only fair that I must mention about Pasta Zanmai as well! Went there quite a while ago! Food is not bad if you like oriental pasta! haha (Oh and another jap pasta restaurant I tried the other day is Pasta de Gohan in Sunway Pyramid!! No photos cause I went with my mentor and I pai seh to take photo!! Anyway they have lotsa choices of pastas and pizzas and its really quite good!! Go try!) Back to Pasta Zanmai....

You will need to grind your own black sesame to sprinkle on top of your pasta! And it does make it taste better!

DUCK KING @ JAYA ONE

Jaya One is one of the new dining area in PJ, lotsa restaurants choices to choose from....

First up is Duck King... The name itself you know that you must order duck when you are there!! =P I must say their duck was not bad... We actually tried both the normal roast duck and also the crispy skin duck. I think the roast duck was quite good but val claims that the Four Season at Cap Square is better!! Have yet to try that though!! But GY said that the London's Four Season's duck is still way better than the KL one but its consider good for KL standards!! haha So I'll definitely go to the KL Four Season one day but I am super excited that I will be going to the London one end of this month!!! I miss it soooo much!!!! The last time I had was like 2005!!!!!!! Can't wait, can't wait!! You know I love roast duck right?? and I super love roast duck drumstick + thigh!! Me & my bro always fight for it.... Luckily each duck got two legs!! =P I ordered roast duck almost every day during my last HK holiday cause HK roast duck is super yummy!!

Anyway I think the food in Duck King is quite good =) But a bit pricey though...

FIREMAN RESTAURANT @ JAYA ONE

HHHmmm.... I think this place is so so only.... What spoilt everything was the mosquito under our table!!!!!!!!!!!! Its an air conditioned restaurant ok!! Their appetizers are nicer than the steamboat aka bbq thingy.... The beef are sliced too thick and a bit tough!!

THE CUBES @ JAYA ONE

The Cubes is a London Chinese Cuisine restaurant. I was wondering what is London Chinese Cuisine?? Anyway they are known for the Peking Duck that not a lot of places have it here but is commonly found in London Chinese Restaurants!! haha And the one in The Cubes is not bad!! Notice the difference between this and the one in duck king?? Though both are eaten wrapped with the popiah skin thingy, but this one you actually eat the meat as well while the crispy duck in duck king, you eat the skin with the popiah thingy and they will cook the duck meat into another dish of your choice!

DAMANSARA VILLAGE STEAMBOAT @ DAMANSARA?

If you don't already know, the owner is Patrick Teoh....

They have 2 types of soup. one is the normal clear soup and another one is the herbal soup! We opt for the herbal one cause YL say its VERYYYY nice.... but I think the herbal taste is just a bit too strong and they add in chinese wine and a lot of dunno what stuff in it as well.... but after that it tasted ok cause when they add soup, they will add the normal soup for you.... so it kinda dilute the strong herbal taste to a nice acceptable herbal taste! haha

The restaurant is famous for their live prawns! Its a must have if you eat there! Cause the prawns are just soooooooo deliciouly sweet and fresh! You can actually see the waiter climb up to the podium of aquariums and use a plate to scoop the prawns and place it on your table! The prawns are basically still jumping on the plate when it is served and you are to pour it into your steamboat and look at how the prawns are swiming in the hot pot!! Its kinda cruel if you think of it but its really delicious lor =(

I think the food is ok only but don't know why a lot of people say its good! haha I still think the best place for korean food is Maehwa Maul at Plaza Mt Kiara but I wont be talking bout that one cause I've blogged bout it a few times already! haha Its my fav korean place =) Anyway, Daorae has more bbq varieties compared to Maehwa la.....

Went to another BBQ place which is not bad as well (but still prefers Maehwa haha!) Solaris is another dining place with lotsa food choices! Bon-Ga is really not bad, but we ordered so much that we just couldn't finish everything.... Some more this GY was telling us stories bout him and the things he does to "catch" ghost!! haha

Remember I blogged about Ding Tai Feng in my Taiwan post? *here* Anyway if you don't already know, they have a branch in KL.... The food is alright but I think its not as good as the one we had in Taiwan..... especially Honeydrew's legendary chicken soup!! Its not even close to what we had! haha

Last but not the least, I wanna intro this cozy little place hidden in the dataran sunway damansara! The food is good and the price is even better!! Realllllllly worth it lor.... YL always say must go there eat more often cause he scared that they will close down because they are not making money with the price they are charging! And you know what, YL also said that you will get 20% discounts if you wear a football jersy there on a Sunday or something!! (Erm I'm not too sure bout this though,... do check it out with the owner though, she's really nice!) haha

The biggest piece of Oreo cheesecake that I have seen served in any restaurants and its only bout RM6 or what.... I think!! And to add to that, its really good!!!!!!!!!!! Just like the one I bake!! =P MUAHAHAHAHA cause the cheese is really thick!! (I don't like those flour cheesecakes!)

Being left behind

Had a meet up with my Smart2 gang last weekend. I didn't even know about it till the last hour!! *haha* Aunty text me and ask if I am going? And I asked her go what?? Apparently ShuLing sent out the invites via FB and I haven't logged in for the longest time!! Anyway, am glad I made it though I was more than an hour late =D *Eh first time aunty is earlier than me and reached there like 15mins before me!!*

Although only 5 out of the original 14 of us that turned out, it was fun chatting and catching up with these girls.... some of whom I haven't seen for a looooong time =D

And you know what?? Out of the 5 of us, 3 of us are in LDR!! Talking bout statistics, I realised that out of the 5 of us, I'm the only one who's left in Sunway!! I don't know is that a =( or a =) haha!! This year will be my fifth year already!!! Is the grass always greener the other side?? I have been told the grass is greener where you water it!! Truth to be said, I am not bored of my work yet!! There are still a lot to learn... I have transferred to my current company for almost 3 years and my current division for almost 2 years... My new KRA has much more responsibilities but........ I just can't help but wonder what if I am one of those who left and not the one being left behind.

I've seen a lot of people leave, some are happier, some are not. Some even came back in the end or wanted to come back. But at least they did leave.... Why am I always the one being left behind? Sometimes I really wonder when will it be the day that I am confidently and happily leaving instead of being left behind. I'm not just talking about work. But anything in life. Seems like my life, those around me are leaving and I am being left behind......

I'm thinking if I don't leave something behind, something new won't start! I used to think of leaving to do MBA but seems like my priority changed since I started my e-shop. Once a while it did cross my mind too to leave home and live on my own, to have my own place but seems like the thought of having to clean the house and do my own laundry and ironing put me off!! =P I did think of leaving my job at one point and even went for interviews but some how I just decided not to. At times, when Honeydrew talk about marriage, the thought of leaving single hood to start a new chapter of my life did cross my mind and when I think of all the commitment and responsibilities that follow, I know I'm not ready to do that just yet!!

I wonder am I afraid of change?? Is what I am having now already the best I can do for myself?? Do I think too much and is not willing to take risk?? Sometimes I wonder, what do I want in life?? Don't get me wrong, I'm not sad or depress or having any problems.... but am just thinking of the WHAT-IF!!

Seriously, I can't imagine what I would be like as a mum!! Just look at my baby oreo!! I'm supposed to be his mummy taking care of him. When I brought him home, I promised my mimi that I will feed him every day, bathe him every week and even pick up his poo poo... I think I only did that for like a week plus and totally left my responsibility behind!! (Haha yes finally I left something behind!! =P) Now my mimi is the one who take cares of my baby oreo. So you see, how la if I'm a mum??

Congratulations to Hung!! He left not just his singlehood but also left to Abu Dhabi for work!! I'm sure there will be soooo much changes in his life!!

60 Earth Hour

I definitely would not say that I am an environmental friendly person -_-

But I will definitely take part in this!! Cause it is at least something that I can do!! It's not hard to just off the lights (and other unnecessary electrical items) for an hour for the sake of our earth!! =)

Of course this is not just a one off thingy for "fun". Earth Hour is about taking simple steps everyday that collectively reduce carbon emissions - from businesses turning off their lights when their offices are empty to households turning off appliances rather than leaving them on standby!

I will try to be more environmental conscious from now on!! I truly think that its time that all of us do our part (no matter small or big) to save our earth!! =D

Was at the premier of the Confessions of the Shopaholic last week and I met fourfeetnine Actually, I can recognize her when I was going down the escalator but she was already one level below me.... So I just told Val, eh I know that girl as in I read her blog!! *haha* Then when we were walking towards the carpark pay machine, I saw her and her bf queuing there as well and so I said hi to her and asked her to take a photo with me!! =D *haha* macam she's a celebrity only!! I also don't know why but I was like quite excited to see her and beria ria wanna take photo with her!! Anyway, she is really short and cute!! =) When I asked her if I can take a photo with her she said "I look so ugly want meh" but then I think she looks good in the photo lor!! I on the other hand is the so ugly one!! =(

Anyway, as I have said in my previous post, I wanna do something to my hair!! Every time I wanna do something to my hair I will google for Jolin Tsai!! Haha!! (can't go wrong one mar her hairstyle!!!! And I lovey her style anyway as in her dressing, nails and all!! So I have decided I wanna cut and dye my hair like her latest hairstyle!!

I even print the pictures out to bring it to the hair saloon with me!! So pai seh!! And obviously I didn't get exactly what I wanted!! Firstly its not the same colour!! And also cause I didn't wanna curl my hair!! But, I think the hairdresser did quite a good job at cutting my hair cause I quite like it =D So yeay I will have a new hairstyle in my europe photos!! MUAHAHAHAHAHA =P

Oh and Yun Yun is back =) We went to Jogoya last Sunday and there are soooooooo much choices I think its impossible to even have a bite of everything!! Went there cause we thought they are having a buy 2 free 1 promotion but when we were there, the small print reads only mon-thu!!! So since we were already there, so we decided to still go but we have to pay full price =(

Only managed to take some photos cause we are not allowed to take any photos of the food!! That's so weird!! You can take photo of yourself but if you take photo of the food, the waiter or waitress will come tell you that you cant!! huh!! Why jogoya don't want people to help them promote by blogging bout their food meh?????? Maybe their biz too good already!! ish!! We have to queue sooooo long to go in!!

I really really enjoyed the free flow of Haagen Dazs ice cream =) YUMZ Just when I'm craving for it =)

Confessions of a Shopaholic!!

YIPPIE YEAY YIPPIE YO!! I won myself a pair of tickets to watch the premier of the Confessions of a shopaholic one week before it is officially open in the cinemas =D I'm so happy!! hehe Though I have not read the book, but I have heard about it!! And I am really looking forward to watching it......

Its really rare that I will join any contest that will require me to write.... you know if its contest about ticking the correct answer or matching one picture to the other correct picture, or even guessing contest, I would rather join then writing a slogan or continue the phrase or something.... You know what I mean? Cause I doubt I will win cause I am not very creative when it comes to writing!! The only few times that I remember joining a contest that requires me to write is one of the hotlink contest to watch jay chou's concert in Singapore (many years ago) and maybe one or two more other contests which I can't recall now!!

But when I saw this Confessions of a Shopaholic contest in emmagem I have this urge of joining and straight away wrote something there and there to submit. One cause I really wanna watch the movie, and secondly I just need to confess why I am a shopaholic which should be rather easy cause I "think" I can call myself one!! haha!! But of course I did not win grand prize cause there are a lot more crazy shopaholics out there who are much much more hardcore than me!! haha. Some of them wrote so much and their story are sooooooo long I also lazy to read!! haha

Anyway here's my entry (if you are not lazy to read mine hehe)

I’m a self declared shopaholic! I love shopping! I love fashion! I love clothes, shoes, bags, accessories and etc!! I can never have enough of any! Especially when they are at a bargain price!! I have two ceiling to floor cupboard full of clothes, more than 10 bags and more than 30 pair of shoes and am still buying!! I need to label all the shoe boxes so that I can find the shoes I want!! I need to match what I am wearing with the bag, shoes and accessories! Every time I go shopping I HAVE to buy something…. I love shopping so much that it’s my hobby!!

Last year, I have turned this hobby of mine into a business. I have set up an e-shop blog selling stuff that I want for myself and sharing it with other shopaholics out there. Since starting this e-shop, I spent even more time shopping!! And you know what? I totally enjoy it!! I can spent hours and hours shopping at various different suppliers picking up items that I love! The best part is that I can get the stuff I like at a cheaper price as I buy in bulk! Then sharing this bargains with other shopaholics that shop at my e-shop.

This is the best job for a shopaholic!! But because I want my shoppers to enjoy shopping for items at a bargain price too, I can’t make it my full time job!! But its absolutely the bestest job for any shopaholics!! I hope in the future I can own a boutique and be a full time shopper shopping for stuff for my boutique =)

Ahhh this is something I need to do cause I have so many pairs of shoes lying around that my mimi is nagging me everyday to put it into the boxes.... cause she said my maid will just sweep the floor area around those shoes and if I put my shoe there one month, that means that part of the floor will not be swept and mop for one month!!

Of course the first person I asked to watch the movie with me is my mimi but she is not very keen to watch it cause she only likes to watch chinese movies and korean and taiwan drama series!! The only few english movies that she will want to watch are like harry porter, batman or those movies with dogs in it like the recent Marley and Me!!

So I'm bringing Val with me for the movie premier!! Can't wait!! =)

The last time I won a contest by writing is the Hotlink contest!! I think this was in 1994!! I was require to continue the sentence or something like that!! I also simply wrote a sms at that time, so I was quite shocked that I won!! But I will always remember this cause I not only get to watch Jay Chou's concert in Singapore, but also got to stand next to him for a photo!! =)

OMG I look so bulat!! haha!! I can still remember he saw me making the thumbs up sign and follow me!!!!!!!!!! =P

Anyway, I was shopping at MV last weekend and was sooooo happy to see MAC Hello Kitty having a roadshow at the concourse!!!!!!!!!!! =D

Me =) Hey, I don't know why but I like tying all my hair up including my fringe up like this lately!!!!!!!! I think I need to do something to my hair already!! Should I dye it and curl it again????????? But I really think its a waste of money curling my hair cause the last two times I did it, it only lasted for less than a month!!!! Even the time when I did it in Taiwan, I was hoping it would be good but sadly it didn't last long as well!!! =((((((( How how how???

My V-day =)

You know what?? I haven't been celebrating V-day for 2 years =( This is what happens when you are in a LDR =( We have been going out for almost 4 years and this year, it is the second time we are celebrating V-day together..... sigh.... I'm so chamzzzz.... haha =P

Anyway, I had a really great time =D It's nothing special.... just like what a couple normally do when they pak tor.... but to me, its something I have not been experiencing for a long long time =( Cause you see, every time he is back, he will be back for about 2 weeks plus..... and we will only have like at most 3 weekends (but most of the time only two). Weekdays, I'm working. Weekends, we will usually go for a holiday together or if not, it will be meeting up with friends or going dinner with families.... Holiday doesn't really count as pak tor.... cause you don't really go for movies and shopping and all..... you know what I mean???

So I was quite glad that honeydrew will be around this year's vday =D I asked him to plan what we will do on that day.... at first we were thinking of a short trip to malacca or ipoh but then due to lack of time (luckily we did not) so we decided to just be around kl..... When I asked him to plan, he started planning what to eat for breakfast, lunch, dinner as if vday is like a makan day!!!! =S Oh and I told him not to get me any flowers for vday cause I think its a waste of money cause they mark up soooo much!! and I seriously have no place to put it anymore!! There are like more that 15 bouquets packed in boxes at the top of my cupboard!! I feel sayang to throw it la.... haha

So here is what he had in plan for me =) He said he had a surprise for me in the morning and he came to my house with lotsa food for breakfast!!! (Makan only!!!!)

As I wasn't feeling well the few days before (was on MC the wed and thu before vday!!) So I wanted to sleep some more and he just told me that we are watching the andy lau and shu qi movie at 12.10 so I was assuming it was in Mid Valley.... since Mid Valley is soooooo near my house I dilly dally and was ready only at about 12.10 itself thinking I will still be able to make it since its so near and they usually have like adverts in the beginning..... but only then he said that the movie is actually in Pavilion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT???????????????? Never tell me earlier!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But in his defense, he said cause he didn't wanna make me wake up earlier than I wanted to........ so..... we actually missed about 30mins of the movie =((((( Anyway its not like they have much story line la.... its just a romantic comedy but I prefer movies like these than LOTR!!!!!!!!!!!! hahahahahahaha

So after our movie, we went for lunch at Kampachi *hearts* =D

Kampachi is actually famous for their Soba noodles... but the one we ordered was ok only.... cause Honeydrew wanted a hot one.... I think the cold cha soba is nicer!!

Foie Gras!!! I lovey!!!!!!!!!! But this one is not that nice!!!!!!! I think cause they soak it in the shark fin soup like gravy.... so its a bit soggy and lack the fragrant pan fried taste!! Wasted.... I quickly tried to rescue it from those gravy but it still didn't taste like what I expected!! And this is like RM60!! Won't order it again!!

After shopping around, he had something else planned... he actually booked an 1 hour massage =) The massage is ok la for me..... but honeydrew finds it quite painfull..... We were massaged by china women!! So we decided that we prefer Thai women!! =)

After massage, we walk around a while more before dinner time!! We made reservation at Angus House. It wasn't really romantic cause the restaurant is full house that night!! Most of it were couples except for this loooooong table when many couples gather for dinner and because they were in a group, they were quite loud and hence its too noisy to feel romantic!!

Honeydrew ordered the set and it comes with appetizer, soup, salad, steak and desserts. I on the other hand ordered foie gras for appetizer (yes again cause the one in Kampachi is not satisfying!!) and also steak for main course. Then we shared a tiramisu for dessert cause the dessert from the set sucks!! haha! Anyway, the steak is REALLY REALLY DAMN GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you wanna eat steak, I would recommend you to Angus House!! It's really juicy and tender..... plus, if you wanna splurge, you can order their wagyu beef or kobe beef steak which is like RM280 for 200grams or something (can't remember!!) We had the normal rib eye steak, RM60+ (can't remember) but it is still veryyyyyy yummy!!!! The waitress told us that sirloin has the most fat and tenderloin has the least fat and rib eye is in between..... not too fatty but just a little fat which makes the meat tasty and tender....

The really really delicious foie gras!!! and its cheaper than the Kampachi one!! RM49 i think!! But seriously it is sooooo soooo good that we ordered another plate!!!
